When Frank arranged a short getaway trip for him and Angela, Angela sensed that he was going to propose. After dating for six years, she was more than ready for Frank pop the question. In preparation, she packed proposal-ready outfits, had her nails done and ensured her makeup was done every day. But the proposal didn’t happen—much to Angela’s disappointment.
However, on the first day back from the trip, Angela was in for a surprise. “I went home after a whole day of work, messy hair, bare face, work clothes," Angela shares. "While I was opening the garage door, I first saw his legs in dress pants." Then she saw balloons spell out the words “marry me” and of course, she said yes.
For their wedding, Angela envisioned white and brass decor with blush accents. “I wanted a theme that’s timeless and elegant,” Angela shares. This was also the overall look for the wedding cake—which was made by one of Angela’s closest friends, Effie from Effie Cake Design. ‘The cake turned out to be exactly what I envisioned, and more. It had a floating rose on one of the top tiers and looked so magical!”
One of Angela’s favourite moments from the wedding was having their dog Coco walk down the aisle. “She had no idea what was going on," Angela says with a laugh. "Being the self-centered little fur ball that she was, she probably thought everyone was there for her." The couple even arranged a flower leash and collar for their dog. Coco passed away a few months after the wedding. “We were extremely grateful to have her be part of our most important day,” Angela says.
