A Sophisticated Spring Garden Wedding

Chelsey and Graeme knew they wanted their wedding to feel like a sophisticated garden party. "We both love bright colours, and I especially love pink and coral peonies," Chelsey explains. "When I walked in and saw the flowers for the first time I was truly blown away--they were gorgeous, bright and overflowing on every surface." Pops of colour were strewn throughout the decor, in everything from the centrepieces to the coral peonies sprinkled on the sweet table.

The sweet table itself was a detail the couple loved. "Our wedding was chock-full of the most delicious sweets and junk food," Chelsey says with a smile. "We always have several bowls of candy out for guests at home, so we made sure to do the same for our big day." The offerings included an array of doughnuts and popcorn as the favours for the guests. Guests also enjoyed poutine and pizza as a late lunch.

The morning of the wedding was filled with treasured moments, especially the moment when Chelsey slipped on her wedding dress. "The low back was just stunning," Chelsey shares. "It made me feel incredible."

That morning Chelsey and her mother were surprised by Graeme's mother, who arranged something special with the florists. "When the bouquets were delivered, I went to look at them, and I saw a couple of small pictures peeking out from my bridal bouquet," Chelsey recalls. "Graeme and I both lost our maternal grandmothers over the past couple of years, so my mother-in-law arranged for the florist to put a small picture of both of them in my bouquet so they could be with us for the day. My mother and I burst out crying--it was an incredible moment."
