Jeremy proposed to Theresa at the end of a month-long Europe trip, during their last stop in Paris. "On our last night there we went to the Eiffel Tower at sunset where he proposed," Theresa remembers.
For their wedding, the couple put a lot of thought into small details that they knew would make the event festive and engaging. "We had a lot of fun coming up with the ideas, including: the handwritten place cards, a DIY macramé backdrop, selfie stick wedding favours, the wedding hashtag (#Jermesa2015), and the Polaroid and fingerprint guestbooks," she says.
The theme was rustic romance with a palette of soft neutrals accented with bold greenery. "We wanted our wedding colours to be subtle and timeless, so we went with blush pinks, ivory and gold as our main hues. Our venue, Saskatoon Farm, featured plenty of beautiful shrubs and bold colours, so we tied it all together by adding gorgeous greenery to the bouquets," Theresa says.
One of the couple's favourite parts of the wedding was the super fun reception. "The wedding games we played were hilarious and quite unique. Whenever guests clinked their glasses, the MC would pick a famous kiss for us and another couple in the room to copy: we ended up emulating the Titanic kiss, the dip and kiss, and The Notebook kiss—everyone loved it!"
