Asal and Sina started out as inseparable friends, and ended up finding a spark during a Christmas party thrown by Sina's parents. "It was either the Christmas magic or the champagne that gave us the courage to go on our first date and see if our great friendship could be much more," Asal explains. On a lucky Friday the 13^thin 2012, the couple went on their first date and discovered what they had secretly known all along: that they had an undeniable connection.

Sina popped the question on the beach during a Cuba vacation with the faint sounds of a guitar playing in the background. It was truly the proposal of Asal’s dreams."It was at that moment that Sina swept me off my feet," Asal explains. "Our wedding day was everything I dreamed of, and more."

The couple chose the colour scheme of pale blue, pale lavender, peachy blush and greens for their barn wedding. These colours were inspired by their venue’s nostalgic mix of wood and rustic metal accents. Beautiful flower arrangements added character to the space. "From the flower ring suspended right above the dance floor to the arrangements on the harvest tables to my huge bouquet--the flowers were just unbelievable," Asal adds.

The breathtaking "sofreh aghd" (Persian ceremony spread) made the day even more unforgettable. “It was eclectic and chaotic and so vintage with the blue tiles and the mix and match metal platters,” Asal says. Each item found on this spread symbolizes the elements of the couple’s new life together–including a mirror to represent the brightness of the couple’s future.

The couple ended their special day waving sparklers under the stars, as the song "A Sky Full Of Stars" by Coldplay played in the background. "It could not have been more perfect," Asal says. "I am so happy and honoured to be spending the rest of my life with my best friend and soulmate."
