For Celia and Kane, a relaxed, outdoors-inspired wedding was always in the cards. "We both love the outdoors and the idea of keeping things simple," Celia explains. "Looking back, Kane and I agreed that the relaxed feel of our ceremony was one of our favourite parts. We laughed, we joked and everyone was close enough that it felt very intimate."
The pair chose a rustic theme to match their backyard venue and added twine, twigs and plenty of lace for some extra romance. Many of the decor pieces were handmade by the couple's family members. Kane and his father made the palette bar and cocktail tables, two details that the couple decided to keep for their future home.
Kane's vows exceeded Celia's expectations completely. "It was such an amazing moment, they nearly knocked me off my feet," she shares. "His words were so personalized, heart-felt, and so true to who we are as a pair."
The couple took their first dance to "The One" by Kodaline--a song that Kane sent to Celia while they were dating long distance, which they did for two years prior to their wedding. "He said the song reminded him of me, and I listened to it and instantly developed goose bumps," Celia recalls. "We decided then and there that that would be our wedding song one day."
