A Romantic Ultra Violet Styled Shoot In Quebec

Ultra Violet, Pantone's colour of the year for 2018, was the inspiration for this gorgeous styled shoot in Quebec. The colour, which according to Pantone symbolizes mindfulness and spirituality, was used throughout the shoot, adding richness, elegance and whimsy to all the details. Accent colours including light pink and gold were included to enhance the star colour. "I wanted to create a very romantic ambiance full of softness," says Nadine Gregoire, the photographer and conceptualist behind the shoot. To enhance the romance, Grégoire ensured the dresses included lace and that lots of candles were used in the decor.

The Manoir Hovey, a gorgeous estate venue in Quebec, was the location for the shoot. "This beautiful venue in the Eastern Township is one of the best hotels in Canada," Grégoire shares. "The venue has a beautiful garden full of flowers, including Delphinum, so Dominique, our florist and art director, chose to bring that flower inside in the form of a gorgeous floral installation above the table."

Other details include a kids corner with a white teepee. The teepee featured colourful cushions and plenty of space for kids to be kids. "They can sit on the floor to draw and make puzzles or play in the teepee with teddy bears," Grégoire says. With many couples bringing their children to weddings, this is a unique and creative way to keep the little ones entertained.
