"Adam and I had the Nora Ephron 'meet cute' that dreams are made of," Brittany says of her first encounter with her husband, Adam, in their hometown grocery store on a Friday night. "I was behind him in the checkout line, and couldn't help but laugh at his terrible dad jokes," Brittany recalls. After Adam paid and left, Brittany regretted not talking to him. "But as fate would have it, he pulled up next to me as I got into my car and asked for my name and number," Brittany shares. "We met for coffee the following day and the rest is history."
The couple wanted their wedding to have a glamorous Palm Springs vibe. Inspired by Old Hollywood elegance mixed with California spirit, the bride chose a white colour scheme with accents of black, gold and deep green. Both the bride's dress and the groom's suit were custom-made by Joseph Tassoni, a friend of the bride. "Joseph is a magician who thrives off of making his clients feel confident and beautiful in his designs. We spent months collaborating on both of our outfits, and we were over the moon with his final creations. It was sheer perfection!" Brittany shares. The couple's rings were also one-of-a-kind heirlooms from Adam's side of the family. "It just felt right, and so much more meaningful for our rings to have such rich family history," the couple explains.
For Brittany and Adam, it was important to build their own unique ceremony by blending Jewish traditions with other customs they loved. "Our good friend Dan orchestrated the ceremony, with our friend Sebastian playing the violin as we walked down the aisle," Brittany explains. The couple also had their married friends come up and read the "Seven Blessings" which is a part of a traditional Jewish ceremony. The groom's mother gifted the couple a beautiful tiger-eye glass to smash at the end of the ceremony. "We were so fortunate that we had so many friends take part in helping to create our day," Brittany says. "These people are the friends of Adam and I's life together. It was such a beautiful, collaborative day, which I think made it all the more special."
For the reception, the couple created a playlist with their DJs that would get all of their guests up and dancing. "We ended the night with the song 'Country Roads,'" Brittany recalls. "Everyone who was still there all came together in this huddle, and I swear I will never forget it."
