A Romantic, Boho Wedding In Kerwood, Ontario

Mikaela and David first met in high school, on the first day of grade 10 outside their shared English class. "I was new to the school, and even though I met so many people that day, he stood out to me. I remember thinking to myself 'Hey—that boy is pretty cute, I want to get to know him more'.” Mikaela says. “Little did I know that we would get so close, and become best friends. After a school trip to Europe, weekend movie nights, and many hours spent in art class together, we began dating."

On their seventh anniversary, the couple exchanged vows in front of 100 of their closest family and friends at Sydenham Ridge Estates in Kerwood, Ontario. Wanting to keep their wedding natural and intimate, Mikaela and David opted for soft greys, light blues, and tons of green and white. The nuptials took place right under a large oak tree draped in white linen, creating an enchanted atmosphere.

"It was the perfect space that didn’t require much added to it to make it feel intimate and inviting,” Mikaela says. “With the creek running through the treed area that surrounded the site, the large oak tree standing tall behind us, and the white linen draped through the branches, the space was romantic and magical.”

To make sure they would remember every detail of their wedding day, Mikaela and David relied on their photographer and videographer to capture their most special moments. “Having a wedding video was at the top of our list, because we thought it was a great way to look back in the years to come at our special day,” Mikaela says. “Having Rebel Hearts Photo and Film do our video was one of the best decisions we made, as Randy and the team captured our day perfectly.”
