After getting engaged on a cruise, Jill and David celebrated with a pretty pink and black wedding filled with personal touches. The wedding was planned entirely by the couple, who were first introduced by a mutual friend. From Jill's hot pink crinoline to a four-wheeler reception entrance, every element of the pink and black wedding reflected the couple's fun personality. After a traditional ceremony at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Jill and David joined their bridal party for portraits at Hamilton's Pier 4. "We chose the train tracks as the backdrop for our photos as we wanted to be a bit different," says Jill. The festivities continued at Michelangelo Banquet Centre, where the couple made their grand entrance on a four wheeler. "There wasn’t a single person sitting down as they were in shock and awe as we rolled in on that beast," recalls Jill. "In preparation for our big entrance, Dave washed and polished the bike for two weeks making sure there wasn’t a spec of mud or dirt on it."
Guests were directed to their tables by pink escort cards and asked to leave wishes to the couple on a whimsical guestbook tree. The fish bowl centrepieces provided another eclectic touch. "I was surprised at the end of the night, that all the fish had a new home. We were both concerned with have 25 new pet fish if they didn’t," says Jill. A candy buffet was a huge hit among the guests, who also enjoyed a traditional Italian meal -- including an antipasti bar -- and wedding cake. The packed dance floor further indicated that this pretty pink and black wedding was a success.
