The perfect splash of blue can transform any wedding theme. Shades such as a rich sapphire or a bold navy can add drama and sophistication, while a vibrant turquoise or a soft robin’s egg shade can make a wedding feel bright and airy.
Drawing inspiration from the sparkle on a crystal’s surface, photographer Jess Jiang of idreamstudios wanted to showcase the tranquility and beauty of blue, and how it can make a local beach in Ottawa feel like you’ve been whisked away to a tropical destination wedding. In this case, Britannia Beach in Ottawa was the perfect location to showcase the dreamiest beachy wedding details.
“The team created a clean and simple dusty blue palette in order to capture the beauty of the coastline,” Jiang says. “In all its airy, whimsical and heavenly goodness, this editorial is filled with the tranquility that comes from the blue palette.”
Destination wedding planner Karolina Fernandes of Diamonds Wedding knows a thing or two about planning a beach wedding. Choosing white, dusty blue and silver, Fernandes wanted to showcase the romance and charm a beach ceremony can evoke. “Having a wedding outdoors and a ceremony by the water is something magical and so different than a traditional local wedding. The breeze from the sea and the sand under your feet makes everything so unique and special,” she says.
