An Industrial Glam Wedding in Calgary - Bride and Groom

Mike and Amanda first met at a wedding show. "He was helping his friend who owned a DJ company, and I was sitting directly across from him at my wedding planning company’s booth. The rest is history!" Amanda says.

When it came time to pop the question, Mike went all out with a grand romantic gesture. "Mike’s proposal was sneaky yet so romantic. When I came downstairs after taking a bath, dinner was made, Mike was dressed up, and there were candles everywhere. He asked me to marry him, and we spent the rest of the night celebrating with champagne!"

As Amanda is in the wedding business, she knew that their wedding had to stand out from the crowd with plenty of unique touches. That said, she also wanted everything to look amazing! "We chose an industrial glam theme with blush pink accents and lots of sparkly details," Amanda says. "Our venue, The HQ, really helped us achieve the look we were going for. The flowers and the cake were definitely my favourite details of the day."

One of the couple's favourite wedding moments was the choreographed dance they had learned from Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" music video before the wedding. "Mike and I really wanted to bring an element of surprise to our wedding. We had rehearsed for months, and all the guests said it was the highlight of the night! It was far from perfect, but it’s definitely one of our favourite memories," she says.
