A Rustic Wedding With Gold Details In Saskatchewan
Sean proposed to Kerstin on a trip to the Dominican Republic. "We were in a little garden on the island, surrounded by fish and birds, and I thought it was the perfect moment," Sean recalls.
The pair wanted their wedding to have a rustic look with elegant touches. Gold, ivory and champagne colours complemented the rustic wood decor. "Kerstin knew we had to have peonies at the wedding, as homage to her grandma, who had passed," Sean explains. "We wanted Gran to be present on our wedding day through her favourite flowers. Kerstin’s mother spent hours perfecting the beautiful arrangements."
A special detail from the wedding day were the cupcake stands, crafted by Sean. "I made them myself using pieces of wood; they were such unique items that fit the rustic theme perfectly," he says. "Making them also added a personal touch to the wedding."
The couple agrees that one of the best parts of the ceremony was holding it on a golf course. "The venue was absolutely stunning and it allowed us to enjoy the amazing weather." Sean says. "We also took some great photos on the property." Sean says one of the best moments was the beginning of the ceremony, when he saw Kerstin for the first time. "When I saw her walking down the aisle toward me, I was speechless," he remembers. "That is definitely a moment I’ll never forget!"
