For their wedding, Justin and Katina wanted to highlight their shared love of nature. "We love spending a lot of our time together outdoors, but being very laid-back people, we did not want to deal with the stress of planning for unpredictable weather," Katina says. "Therefore our theme was designed around bringing the outdoors inside."

The couple decorated their venue with Hawaiian leis and flowers, which were strung from the ceiling over the dance floor. They also included wood slabs with bird cages weaved with greenery, and lots of flowers for the centrepieces. Whole trees and soft white twinkle lights everywhere brought their theme together.

One of Justin and Katrina's favourite details were the flowers. Katina explains that they decided to add a bit of glam to dress up the outdoor decor, and had lots of greenery and dusty rose bridesmaid dresses with burgundy and gold accents to complement the floral details.

Katina's dress was a recommendation from her husband. "Justin had said that a ballgown was always the style of dress he had pictured me in, but I was reluctant," she says. After trying on several dresses, she settled for a ballgown and loved every aspect of the design. "The only downside is that Justin thinks he's always he's right now," she adds with a laugh.

The couple's first dance was to the tune of "How Long Will I Love You" by Jon Boden. They heard the song when watching the movie About Time. "During the movie, we immediately knew. Justin and I turned to each other and said 'that should be our wedding song'," Katina remembers. "It's a little bit country, and about all about committing to one another for the long haul."
