A Fall Vineyard Wedding In Niagara-On-The-Lake

Shortly after moving from Toronto to New York City, Alana met Ryan online. "We agreed to meet for a drink at the bar across the street from my apartment," Alana reveals with a smile. "I knew by the end of the night he'd be the man I'd marry."

When it came to their wedding, the couple wanted their celebration to feel like a fabulous backyard party, rather than a formal wedding. "We wanted the decor to fit with the vineyard setting and time of year," Alana says. "The aim was for the decor to feel luxurious, but natural at the same time." To achieve this look, the couple enlisted the help of Megan Wappel, who used a palette of ivory, navy and sage green with copper and rose gold accents. Custom chandeliers were covered in greenery and flowers by Ooh La La Designs, and the tables were lined with beautiful greenery garlands.

To add to the relaxed vibe, Alana and Ryan provided their guests with lawn games to play during the cocktail hour, including bocce, cornhole and giant Jenga. "Being that Ryan's family and friends are from the U.S. and mine are from Canada, it was a great way for people to break the ice and get to know each other," Alana explains.

For Alana, the best part of the day was walking down the aisle. "It was an out of body experience," Alana remarks. "I had both my parents walk me down the aisle, which was special, and I'll never forget the look on Ryan's face."
