Becky and Ronald had been apartment-hunting for a while when they finally found one Becky really liked. "We were deliberating on putting an offer in, but unfortunately it ended up being bought by someone else," Becky recalls. Unbeknownst to Becky, Ronald had secretly bought the unit to surprise her. Over the next month, the couple continued to see other units so that she wouldn't become suspicious. When their realtor eventually brought them back to the same building, Becky thought nothing of it until they walked up to the exact same unit. "We walked in and mine and Ronald's families were waiting for us inside," Becky recalls. "The apartment was decorated by balloons saying “Marry Me” and there were candles everywhere. Needless to say, I said yes!" the bride remembers fondly.
Becky and Ronald wanted their wedding details to match the fall season and their own personal colour preferences. "We had a 'Rose Garden in Fall' theme with a nude palette including hints of blue and purple," Becky explains. The head table was decorated with an abundance of flowers cascaded over it and panels with custom lettering. "It was the perfect backdrop and a feature that really stood out," Becky shares. In addition, guests were given preserved roses in glass terrariums as party favours. "All the guests loved them."
For Becky, her favourite wedding details were the custom pieces added to her dress. The bride had detachable sleeves made out of a jacket she didn't use, as well as a tulle cape using the embellishments of the jacket. "It was so elegant and matched my vision exactly!" Becky remarks.
As part of their wedding day, Becky and Ronald included a Chinese tea ceremony. "This is an important tradition where elders of the family pass down their blessings and wishes," Becky explains. "It was extremely emotional for me as I feel family is really important." Above all, the bride says that interacting with their guests is what warmed her heart most. "It was so special seeing everyone come out to celebrate the day with us!"
