For Nicole and Landon's wedding they chose an elegant garden theme. "Maybe it’s my British and Dutch heritage, or the fact that my mum was a florist for many years, but I’ve always had an affinity towards flowers," Nicole reveals. "It felt fitting to be married in a garden."
The flowers stunning flowers in Nicole's bouquet were one of her favourite details. "We included a small picture of my Oma and Opa on their wedding day on my bouquet wrap," Nicole says. "They have both passed on, but I wanted to find a way to have them with me during the wedding."
For the ceremony, Landon and Nicole wrote their own vows. "We requested a microphone for the ceremony, but it wasn’t available when we got there," Nicole recalls. "I was worried our guests wouldn’t be able to hear us, but it was so quiet and peaceful in the garden that everyone was able to hear and it made our vows that much more intimate."
The couple had a family friend perform “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur for their first dance, selecting the song based on its meaningful lyrics that the couple could relate to. "Our friend’s performance on the acoustic guitar was so special and his talent blew everyone away," Nicole says. "It’s definitely a moment we will cherish forever."
