For Elliot and Emma, who live in British Columbia, getting married in Creemore, Ontario was a natural choice. Emma's family's lavender farm, which started as a passion project the summer before, was the venue of choice, with all hands on deck getting the farm harvested and ready in the weeks leading up to the event. "The rolling hills of Creemore are so beautiful. It made getting married there extremely special," Emma explains.

The couple wanted their wedding to have a bohemian, relaxed backyard-wedding vibe. "We wanted a chill evening and a fun summertime party for the guests," Emma explains. The ceremony was a highlight of the couple's day, with everyone so relaxed and smiles all around. "Seeing all our favourite people together with cocktails in hand, cheering us on, was so amazing," Emma says.

Lavender accents and details were incorporated throughout the wedding. Elliot’s mother used lavender from the farm to make the flower girls’ lavender headbands. They also had a lavender cheesecake from one of their favourite Creemore restaurants, sachets filled with lavender as favours for the guests and lavender sprigs on every place setting. "It truly was the perfect accent to the wedding decor and to top it off, it smelled wonderful," Emma says.

For the reception, guests made their way into the clear-top tent set up on the properly. "That was the crowning backdrop for the evening," Emma shares. "Lots of string lighting and the beautiful summer night made the tent a cozy place to watch the stars and the fireworks at the end of the night. The groomsmen and my brother-in-law had taken the whole day prior to set up the fireworks," Emma explains. "It was an incredible show that seemed to last forever!"
