Samantha and Samuel were engaged during a surprise trip to Tofino. "We stayed at the beautiful Wickaninnish Inn," Samantha recalls. "On the second morning, Samuel booked me a massage at the hotel spa right on the water. Afterward, he suggested we take a walk on the beach and that's when he popped the question!"
When planning their wedding, Samantha told their wedding planner, Jessie Johnston, that she wanted the wedding to be different and colourful, and that she was open to any and all ideas. "I wanted to be a part of the planning process, But I also trusted her to design something unique and beautiful," Samantha says. "Some of the smaller details I asked to be kept a surprise to me as well, which was really fun on the actual day of to see everything come together."
A palette of fuschia, coral, lavender, yellow and peach made Samantha and Samuel's celebration fresh and fun. The florals were an integral part of the wedding's overall design. "Each place setting was set with little vases of flowers that had each of the guests' names tied to them; we also had beautiful floral rings that hung from the trees for our ceremony," Samantha shares. "Overall, the flowers made such an impact and brought so much colour to our wedding.
"Seeing Sam for the first time was something I'll never forget," Samantha continues. "We did a 'first look' and that moment with just the two of us will always be one of the best moments of that day."
