Rachelle and Drew first met online. After their first date, they knew there would be many dates to come. "Sometimes you just connect right away, and that's how it was for us," Rachelle says. Drew popped the question on the beach in Brentwood Bay, where Rachelle grew up. Later, the couple decided to get married just up the road from the beach. "It made our location extra-special for us," Rachelle affirms.
The couple wanted their wedding to be timeless, opting for a colour palette of white and neutrals for a fresh feel, with decor that included white centrepieces created by the bride's mother. Wooden table numbers complemented the colour palette and matched the wooden barrels of the reception venue. Wood detailing was also incorporated into the groom's wedding band, which was a favourite detail. "It had a strip of wood in the middle, which suits him so perfectly as he loves working with wood and creating different wood pieces for our home," Rachelle shares.
Rachelle and Drew's favourite moments were ones only the couple shared, such as the ceremony and their first dance. "We didn't do an official dance, but we had a song picked out and danced to it without telling anyone," Rachelle says. "It made for a beautiful private moment for just the two of us."
