A Classic, Elegant Wedding In Mississauga, Ontario
Michael and Roxanne met in high school in their Grade 9 math class. "From sitting behind me and teasing me constantly to eating a piece of paper after I dared him, our friendship grew as we continued to share many more classes throughout high school," Roxanne recalls. "He was the class clown, an athlete and was generally popular. It never came to my mind that he would one day be my husband."
After nine years together, Michael popped the question. "I spent days organizing a romantic, wintry proposal," Michael says. "After a dinner celebrating both our birthdays, we went to an outdoor ice rink near my home. Roxanne thought we were just there to skate, but I had organized everything with the security guards and even had a photographer present to capture the moment!"
The help of their wedding coordinator made the planning process easy for Michael and Roxanne. "Her communication during the entire process kept us at ease, and whenever stress crept in, she knew how to calm us down," the couple shares. "The wedding wouldn’t have gone as smoothly without her help."
One of the pair's favourite details was their cake. "We wanted to choose an experienced cake designer who had great reviews," Roxanne explains. "Vanessa from Patisserie V. Marie constructed a simple yet elegant creation, even including Batman in the cake at my husband’s request, which we loved!" The flowers by DeLight Floral + Design were also another favourite detail. "Florist Sarah Min turned our vision into reality, especially at the reception--the centrepieces were stunning and exceeded all expectations," Roxanne says. "I even kept my bridal bouquet and dried it to preserve the memories."
