Carlie and Padraig had what they dub a "Dirty Dancing" relationship. “Paddy and I met while he was working at the golf course where I played. It was a bit of a Dirty Dancing situation as member/staff relationships were frowned upon,” Carlie laughs. “We ended up dating in secret for two years until he moved to another golf course.”
For their day, the two booked the Toronto Hunt Club, a venue that offered sprawling green lawns and a first-class view of the lake. “The space was so beautiful and we had absolutely great weather,” the two share. Opting for a more laid-back vibe, the duo chose food stations as well as a cookie bar (with treats made by friends and family). “It was truly a perfect day,”Carlie adds. “At one point we even had a deer stop by to check it all out—it was like something out of a Disney movie.”
