A Bright, Floral Music Conservatory Wedding

A Bright, Floral Music Conservatory Wedding
a bright and floral wedding in toronto, ontario - bride and groom

Jaclyn and Jonathan met at the Osheaga music festival in 2010, and instantly connected over their love of music. "Our first moments involved enjoying music together and talking about it, and that's something that has carried forward in our relationship ever since," Jaclyn says. Six years down the road, Jonathan popped the question in Boston, right before the pair moved to Toronto. "It really was the perfect note to end on for our time away together," Jaclyn says.

The couple wanted a colourful outdoor wedding, but knew they didn't want to worry about unpredictable Canadian weather. Instead they opted to bring the outside indoors for their garden-themed celebration at the Royal Conservatory of Music. The couple brought their vision to life with greenery and bright lush florals such as dusty orange and fuchsia bougainvillea, coral peonies, and potted plants. The florals added pops of lively and vibrant colour and created a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Organic materials such as oatmeal-hued linens and and wooden cross back chairs were used to make the bold accents stand out even more. To incorporate more of their personalities, the bride and groom included playful elements such as whimsical dinosaur succulents and blue glassware.

During the reception, Jonathan serenaded his bride by performing a Bob Dylan song which he had rewritten the words to. "Jon is a very talented musician and has a great voice, but is a pretty shy guy and normally only plays the guitar in the privacy of home," Jaclyn shares. "It was the most meaningful gesture I could have imagined. Everyone was really stunned."
