A Boho-Chic Wedding at the University of Saskatchewan - Bride and Groom

Danielle and Noel first met on campus at the University of Saskatchewan. After getting engaged, the couple was looking for a venue for months before walking into University of Saskatchewan's Marquis Hall. "Noel looked out the window onto the campus and pointed to the first place he ever saw me," Danielle shares. "We teared up, and then sealed the deal on the venue!"

With the help of their wedding planners at The Black Door Events, Danielle and Noel decked their venue in white and gold details, paired with natural greenery. "Our goal was to avoid clutter, keep it crisp, clean and elegant," Danielle explains.

On the day of the wedding, the weather did not cooperate. "I was devastated when we were told we couldn't hold the ceremony outside like we had planned," Danielle recalls. "We ended up holding it indoors, and it turned out to be absolutely stunning." The big gold windows in the venue showcased the campus and the fall colours, giving the couple that element of nature they were hoping for. "Walking down the aisle, seeing him waiting at the end, I was the most calm I'd been leading up to the wedding," Danielle smiles.

Dancing was one of their highlights of the entire day. "Our friend performed 'The Way You Look Tonight' for our first dance, which was a dream of mine since I heard it in My Best Friend's Wedding," Danielle says. "We had DJ Charly Hustle, who doesn't typically do weddings. We were lucky to have him play at ours, and the dance floor was lit up all night!"
