An Intimate Wedding in Abbotsford, British Columbia

For diehard Vancouver Canucks fans Mariah and Jeremiah, a wedding that reflected their athletic personalities was key. “We’re huge Canucks fans and one of our favourite date nights is going out for dinner and taking in a game. We wanted fun details to show support for the team and also to personalize our wedding,” Mariah shares. On their big day, the newlyweds entered the reception to the Canucks theme song as the guests waved team towels, and later on everyone played a Canucks trivia game. To top off the duo’s sporty celebration, SportsCentre broadcasters Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole sent the newlyweds a special video message, sharing some marriage advice and congratulating the newlyweds. “Our guests have told us that was the highlight of the night,” Mariah laughs.
