An Intimate Summer Home Wedding in Ontario

For high school sweethearts Brooke and Nicholas, tying the knot on August 14 had sentimental meaning. “It holds a special place in our hearts because it was the day Nick asked me to be his girlfriend in high school,” Brooke shares. “Even with the pandemic we were determined to exchange our vows and celebrate with our guests. The energy from our family and friends was astonishing and was it amazing to have our kids at the ceremony and have them watch mom and dad become husband and wife!”

In keeping with their backyard scene, the pair brought their space to life with personalized touches. A memory station dedicated to their loved ones, mason jars, wooden signs, and glass lanterns, were a few of the custom touches that Brooke and Nick included on their special day. Following heartfelt speeches from their parents and grandparents, the two invited some of their closest friends for an outdoor dance party. “Having our guests come later in the evening was one for the books,” Brooke laughs. “I even ended up jumping in our pool in my wedding dress!”
