Even though Brittany and Terrance had discussed marriage – the couple even picked out Brittany’s bridal set together – the proposal still came as a surprise. One morning, Terrance woke Brittany up and told her he had something to show her. He turned on the television, which displayed a letter written to Brittany with their song playing in the background. “At the end of the letter, there was an arrow to click to the next page. As it opened, I read the words: 'Brittany, will you marry me?' I looked over at him and he was holding the open ring box. We kissed and grinned and after a few seconds he reminded me I hadn't said anything yet -- I said 'Oh, of course, yes!'” laughs Brittany.
Brittany and Terrance loved the simplicity and intimacy of their small, family-oriented wedding. “Having my step-kids stand up with us during the ceremony, that meant the world to me,” says Brittany. The couple and their guests celebrated at their home, with family and friends providing delicious home-cooked food. Having the wedding on a gorgeous fall day added to the rustic feel of the day.
The couple chose "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not?" by Thompson Square for their wedding song. "The song brings back memories for both of us. The first time we kissed, Terry started by saying 'I think we should just kiss and get it over with.' It was hilarious, awkward and cute, and I think of that moment every time I hear the song!” shares Brittany.
