Paris will always have a special place in Aleksandra and Guillaume’s heart, after all, it was where the two got engaged. “It happened just before France went into lockdown. Guillaume and I were on our way to the Eiffel tower. On a normal day, it would be next to impossible to get through the crowds to get to the elevator,” Aleksandra explains. “We lucked out and took the elevator to the top to see the stunning panoramic view. At that point, Guillaume brought the engagement ring and asked me to marry him.”
Fast-forward to September, the the two chose to say ‘I do’ at the Fairmont Banff Springs with an curated guest count of 40. “The private blessing, a Polish tradition that would normally occur with all of our families, from my mother in the name of both his and my parents was a moment of joy. Most of our families were unable to attend, so we were very lucky to share those first moments together,” Aleksandra explains. As a nod to their Paris engagement, Aleksandra and Guillaume surprised guests with a stunning Eiffel Tower cake. “It stole the show,” the pair laugh. “We weren’t sure if it was doable, but our pastry chef was phenomenal.”
