A Romantic Fall Wedding in Newmarket, Ontario

Sam and Justin’s love story began at a wedding-their friends’ wedding. “I was a bridesmaid and Justin was a groomsman and we hit it off immediately,” Sam reminisces. “After their engagement party we exchanged numbers to help ‘plan the for the wedding’, but we started texting right away. The rest is history-we have been together ever since.”

Fast-forward to their own wedding, the two chose to tie the knot at WaterStone Estate & Farm-the ideal backdrop for their fall celebration.

Filled with DIY details, thanks to a crafty bridesmaid, Sam and Justin’s vision came to life with a chic head table setup, elegant floral décor and a fun ‘Just Married’ banner. Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without Justin’s candy bar. “Anyone who knows Justin knows his obsession with candy,” Sam laughs. “We themed it with colours of the wedding of red, gold and blue. The guests loved it and there was almost no candy left at the end of the night, much to Justin’s dismay.”

As for the couples’ highlight of the evening? That started early on. “Dancing the night away with our whole group was one of the best moments,” the two exclaim. “Even though it was only 6:30 and there was still light out, our Matron of Honour grabbed everyone onto the dance floor-all 62 of them. We kicked off the night to Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing. Even people who didn’t dance were letting loose and it really set the tone for a light-hearted and fun night.”
