An Enchanted Garden Wedding in Vancouver

As an avid fan of period pieces and inspired by the brides’ favourite series, Downtown Abbey, Jennafer and Craig chose a romantic fairytale wedding theme featuring blush pink, light ivory and lavender. “My dress was designed by Ines Di Santo. The lace overlay had colour and also served as inspiration for our stationery,” Jennafer explains. “The dress also very much represented my personality and brought our theme of fairytale to life.”

With 156 guests in attendance, Jennafer and Craig romantically tied the knot at St. Augustine’s Church in Vancouver, where Jennafer’s parents also got married. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds whisked guests to Cecil Green Park UBC for cocktails and dinner. “My favourite moment of the day was walking with Craig, my new husband, through the enchanted forest of the Pacific Spirit Park, while our guests were enjoying cocktail hour,” Jennafer reminisces. “It was our first moment after the ceremony where we could enjoy being married.” As a way to personalize their special day, the couple ended the evening with customized bookmarks, where guests were allowed to choose a book or comic book with custom bookmarks matching their stationery. “I chose my favourite books such as The Velveteen Rabbit and A Little Princess,” Jennafer shares. “Craig chose his favourite comic book: the Spiderman series.”
