An Elegant Winter Wedding in Canmore, Alberta

Randi and Jeremy's engagement began with a chicken noodle soup psych-out. Using a fake illness to stall his college girlfriend driving home from work, Jeremy pleaded with Randi to stop for soup at the grocery store, then used the extra time to finalize his proposal preparations. "He needed to buy more time because on his way home he was pulled over by the police for having his license plate covered with snow," explains Randi. When she finally arrived homw, soup in hand, Randi discovered a pathway of candles and rose petals. She accepted Jeremy's proposal on the spot.

The couple celebrated an elegant winter wedding in Canmore, Alberta which Randi, a personal assistant, planned entirely herself. Resplendent in a frothy lace gown by Enzoani (Jeremy's favourite wedding detail, aside from the roast beef dinner), Randi marched down the aisle in a pair of UGGs at St. Michael's Anglican Church in Canmore, Alberta. Her bridesmaids wore custom chocolate-coloured gowns which they accessorized with mittens and stoles. The elegant winter wedding featured festive seasonal touches like a horse-drawn sleigh and quirky bouquets filled with pussy willows, pinecones and scabiosa pods. Randi's "something blue" fish hook, belonging to her late grandfather, lent a deeply personal touch to the celebration.

After exchanging vows, Randi and Jeremy proceeded to the reception at the snow-covered Silvertip Resort. Guests departed the elegant winter wedding with jars of cider, cocoa or mocha, all handmade by the bride.
