An Elegant Wedding With Fun Details

  |   By Kimberly Aglipay

A Classic, Elegant Wedding in Vancouver, British Columbia - Bride Laughing

Natalie and Reuben met at work when Natalie first moved from Alberta to British Columbia. "I ended up being her first friend in B.C. and introduced her to all the people who would soon be her friends," Reuben explains.

The couple wanted their wedding to be simple and elegant. "Our colour scheme was black, white and gold—timeless and beautiful," Natalie says. "Reuben’s favourite detail of the day was our fortune-cookie seating chart. The cookies were homemade and had custom fortunes in each. It was a fun project we got to do for all our family and friends." Natalie's favourite detail, on the other hand, was her custom-made wedding dress from Ellebay Bridal. "Ellebay Bridal took my vision and made it a reality," Natalie says. "I loved working with them and being able to wear my dream gown."

The couple made sure that songs significant to their relationship and engagement were included in the wedding. "My bridesmaids walked down the aisle to 'Mirrors' by Justin Timberlake, which was the song playing when I entered the gallery where Reuben proposed," Natalie explains. "And I walked down the aisle to 'Stolen' by Dashboard Confessional, which was playing when I said 'yes!'"

According to Natalie, their wedding was unforgettable. "How could it not be when you are marrying your best friend?" Natalie smiles. "We spent the day laughing and enjoying time with friends and loved ones—it couldn’t have been more perfect."
