An Elegant, Rustic Autumn Wedding In The Laurentians

Joanie and Vincent spotted each other for the first time at a wedding. “One look was enough for us to find one another during the course of the evening,," Joanie says. "Who knew that in a few seconds—and with intense certainty and conviction—that a chance meeting would change everything? We knew then we had found each other.”

For their engagement, the pair share it came in an intimate moment at home in front of their children. “"Vincent had been working incognito on my engagement ring for months, from choosing the stone, then having this incredible ring designed and molded. It is a super personal and special piece."

Their October wedding took place at Stonehaven Le Manoir in the Laurentians. "We opted for a muted theme which complimented the Victoria-style building," Joanie explains. "Our day wouldn't have been the same without Andréanne & Co, the extraordinary team who were there for us throughout the planning process. We met Andréanne and Camille in 2018 to prepare for the wedding, but we never would’ve imagined that, during our very first meeting, they would understand us even better than we do ourselves. And that they were going to make this moment even more magical than anyone could have imagined."

Like the night they first met, their favorite wedding moment was when they saw each other for the first time during the ceremony. “We remember our first glance perfectly, it was even more intense than the night we met," Joanie shares. Joanie remembers being so anxious to join her future husband at the end of the aisle that when she started walking she started hyperventilating. “This was the moment I had been waiting for and dreaming of for over a year. And when I saw him, I thought he was so beautiful with tears of happiness running down his cheeks."

Their first dance was paired with Forever, a song from Vincent's favorite band, Mumford & Sons. Joanie added, “The song chose itself. First because of its title and then for the message it conveys, which touched us so naturally."
