Cozy sweaters, a DM on Instagram and quick wit was what brought Kristen and Joshua together. “Josh was going to school in my hometown on the very weekend I was away visiting my sister and I posted a photo with a caption that read ‘I love cozy sweater weather’,” Kristen recalls. “I’m not usually the type to respond to DM’s on Instagram but I thought he was clever and I responded. We continued to chat all weekend, he asked me on a date and the rest was history.”
For their special day, Kristen and Josh picked the Castle Mountain Resort to fit their mountaintop wedding. “The ceremony location was stunning, it was way back in the trees beside a stream with a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains,” Kristen smiles, “After the ceremony, Josh and I had a few moments together just the two of us, trying to take in that we just did that. The happiness that fulfilled that moment was so special to us.”
After their vows, the two whisked guests inside the lodge ski resort featuring exposed wooden beam, greenery that draped over the head table and gold hoops. “Our family and friends worked tirelessly to make the décor perfect, and they did such an amazing job,” Kristen and Josh share. “We could not thank them enough for making our celebration perfect.”
