An Elegant, Martha's Vineyard-Inspired Wedding In Toronto

A wedding inspired by Martha’s Vineyard was what this pair had in mind for their big day. Here, the bride shares how her vision became a reality. "Our dream was to be married in Martha’s Vineyard—we love the laid-back nautical atmosphere so much that we visit every year—but it wasn’t in the cards for us. Elle Daftarian of Petite & Sweet helped bring a piece of that place to us in Toronto by decking the venue with lush trees and flowers. We chose The Warehouse as our venue because we could basically do whatever we wanted. The elements came together with open flame candles, globe lights and some uplighting to give the room warmth. Our ceremony took place at the same space and was one of the highlights of the evening. During the Bedekin ceremony, our Rabbi asked guests to individually give us words of advice. This was more meaningful than we could ever have imagined. Food was also a huge part of our wedding day. We worked with Toben Food by Design for our main course and appetizers. For dessert, we wanted an epic sweet table, something that would show off our love for treats. Petite & Sweet did an amazing job and created everything from doughnuts to cake pops that looked like caramel melted apples—people were chomping at the bit to get to it! The entire wedding day was just so amazing. There were so many details—like my mom making the chuppah or Brandon’s sister singing the song for the mother-son dance—that were very personalized and just meant a lot to both of us."
