An Elegant Lake Louise Wedding

Kristel and Aiden knew that the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise would be the perfect venue for their wedding. "It is our favourite place to unwind after snowboarding on the mountain and shortly after we became engaged, we learned that my parents had honeymooned at the Chateau," shares Kristel.

"We wanted our wedding day to feel warm, intimate, romantic and above all personal," says Kristel. "We used tons of candlelight wherever possible, and incorporated a collection of framed photos from each of the 10 years of our relationship, as well as framed pictures of our parents’ and grandparents’ weddings. Our table numbers were a highlight for us. Aidan and I decided to use numbers of significance as opposed to traditional sequential numbers. For example, Table 471 km–the distance from Edmonton to our favourite ski hill; Table 8–the number of countries we’ve visited together; or Table 1–the number of dates before our first kiss."
