A Romantic Winnipeg Wedding Inspired by Italy75

Jessica and Justin broke the typical wedding day into two separate events. "We first had an intimate destination ceremony in Rome, Italy with just the two of us, and then a month later we had a casual and fun reception with our closest friends and family back in Manitoba," shares Jessica. The couple incorporated an Italian feel into their Canadian celebration, by having photos done at Winnipeg's Hamilton Building.

A colour palette of gold and ivory was incorporated into as many of the days details as possible. "Our stationery and linens really tied in our colour scheme, which also complemented the old world charm of Bailey's Restaurant, where we held our reception," says Jessica.

To end the evening a grand candy bar was unveiled. "We made custom bags and served everything from jelly beans to sour peaches -- it was a big hit with the guests," says Jessica. The newlyweds agree they couldn't have asked for a better day.
