An Elegant, Autumnal Wedding in Toronto, Ontario

Inspired by the warmth and coziness of fall, Bei and Alec chose to celebrate their wedding on Thanksgiving weekend with an seasonal colour palette featuring a swatch of mulberry, gold and mid-blue. “We wanted colours that suited the season, while evoking a sense of warmth and whimsy but also elegant and inviting at the same time,” Bei explains. “It’s true what they say, when it comes to planning once you have your colour palette in mind, and the overall feeling that you want your wedding to evoke, you’re off to the races!”

Although the two now live in Boston, they circled back to their hometown of Toronto and chose Cedar Brae Golf Club as their venue. “The team was amazing to work with and the venue is incredible gorgeous,” Bei exclaims. “The space has a beautiful façade of burgundy brick, and the reception room for dinner had an understated elegance which was ready to be brought to life with our colours.”

The wedding celebration was a true labour of love for Bei and Alec who personalized their occasion with fun games including a crossword puzzle and shoe game, and décor elements like DIY calligraphy and table cards named after the places the couple had visited. “A core element of our wedding was driven by wanting to share our story through details that were meaningful for us,” the two recall. “It really takes a community to put together a wedding and we are eternally grateful for our family and friends who put in the mileage to help us execute our vision-it was perfect!”
