For Navada and Denny, a rodeo cowboy, a night out with friends at Ranchman’s—Calgary’s favourite country bar—led to true love. Exactly five years later, this country couple said “I do” at an authentic western wedding in the Madden Community Center. At this unique western wedding celebration guests were treated to homemade desserts and personalized steak rub favours, and Denny and his groomsmen donned tuxedo jackets and blue jeans. “Our pastor was a cowboy poet—he brought such personality and genuine cowboy spirit to our western wedding ceremony, which really made it a memorable day,” says Navada. For their honeymoon, the two flew to Kelowna, B.C. (and Denny competed in a nearby rodeo the weekend after their wedding!).
