An Antique Market-Themed Wedding in Kitchener, Ontario

  |   By Lisa Perri

The first time Daniel asked Christine out, she actually turned him down. Luckily he was persistent – the couple has now been together for over ten years. Daniel popped the question while on a European vacation with family – and thankfully Christine said yes the first time he asked!

Christine admits melting during the wedding scene in Love Actually when the room broke out into a rousing rendition of The Beatles “All You Need is Love” so she was absolutely shocked to have it recreated at her own ceremony. Family and friends popped up out of the pews, playing instruments and singing along -- it's a moment Christine says she'll never forget.

Daniel and Christine's wedding was entirely a labour of love, with friends and family contributing elements to the big day. Family helped with the décor, from the flower arrangements to the entry table filled with antique elements and family photos.  The couple's cheese cake was also a standout. “We purchased all the cheese from Global Cheese located in Kensington Market in Toronto and Daniel’s aunt transformed them into the most amazing cake, complete with edible decorations which included: dried fruit, fresh herbs, candied spiced walnuts, blue cheese-and-almond-stuffed dates, fresh figs and fruit," says Christine.
