Following an engagement on top of Mount Washington, Jenna Adams and Aldon Rutherford celebrated a suitably themed winter wonderland wedding on Vancouver Island. The couple selected a seasonal blue and silver palette to sprinkle throughout the festivities like a cheery dust of snow. The groom braved the cold in a black and silver suit, while the groomsmen were dressed in black and blue. The bridesmaids matched in flowing navy gowns paired with ethereal silver shawls. The bride even wore blue-tipped nail polish on her ring finger! Though lacking spring's bounty of flowers, the winter wonderland wedding utilized the best its season had to offer with eclectic displays of curly willow and lotus pods (spray painted silver for the occasion). The bride and bridesmaids clutched bright white bouquets of Casablanca lilies accented with bear grass, a rustic flourish to the winter wonderland wedding theme. For an elegant, seasonal touch, snowflake patterns were printed on the programs as well as the midnight blue favour bags. Snowflakes even adorned the blue and white wedding cake complete with a snowboarder bride and groom cake topper! Following the winter wonderland wedding, Jenna and Aldon retreated to Whistler for a week long honeymoon.
