Polina and Alexandre's favourite pastime is surprising each other. "One of my first surprises for Alexandre was flying him to Los Angeles and taking him on a hot air balloon ride at sunrise," Polina shares. This lead to a wedding revolving around taking flight. Hot air balloon motifs filled the couple's venue -- they were incorporated in the table numbers and even the custom Mad Libs that topped reception tables. "It was important for our special day to maintain an air of childlike playfulness," says Polina.
From the bright yellow accents to the music from their favourite childhood cartoons in the wedding ceremony, the playful day echoed everything the couple wanted. "We wanted to be surrounded only by our closest family and friends, and have our wedding serve as a bonding experience for our loved ones. We were thrilled to see them all in one place," says Polina.
