A Whimsical Garden Party Wedding in Winnipeg

Kelli and Rejean had known each other for years, but their love story didn’t begin until he asked her on a date to see a Trews concert. Four years later, at a photo shoot for Kelli’s jewellery line, Rejean got down on one knee and proposed. “I couldn’t believe it, I was caught so off guard that I thought it was a joke everyone was playing on me,” Kelli laughs.

The couple’s garden party wedding was an unbelievably beautiful day filled with whimsical décor, which was carefully crafted by the bride herself. “I loved seeing everything come together, and my guests enjoying all the small details I worked so hard on,” says Kelli. Kelli used balloons, buntings and and twinkle lights to accent her wedding venue and topped her reception tables with lovely floral table runners and DIY centrepieces comprised of floral arrangements atop stacks of vintage books. The couple also sent their guests home with heartfelt homemade favours — mixed CDs of all their favorite songs!

The couple chose Forest Sun’s “No Regrets” for their first dance, which they both agree was their favourite moment of the day. “We had our first dance out on the terrace and everyone lit sparklers, it felt so magical…like a fairytale,” Kelli explains.
