Romance bloomed in the workplace for Amy and Justin. After a lunch date and a stroll around Port Credit, the couple shared their first kiss on what became known as "their bench." Fittingly, it was also the very spot Justin chose to pop the question!
The couple wanted anything but a traditional wedding, choosing Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved” to be played acoustically as Amy walked down the aisle. The pair was also adamant there would be no cake - instead, they opted for delicious homemade cookies for the guests to enjoy. The gathering of family members was extremely important for Amy and Justin, as the day also served as a family reunion, which suited their picnic style reception! The couple decorated their day with chevron accents and classic plaid while guests enjoyed quaint touches such as a lemonade stand, an ice cream cart and boxed picnic lunches.
Justin’s two sons played a special part in the ceremony – together, the four of them blended pebbles from their trips to the beach in a singular vase to represent their combined family, which now sits lovingly atop the couple's mantle as a reminder of their special day.
