A Vintage Garden-Themed Wedding in Ottawa

Drama is a central theme in the relationship of Erin and Chris—but not in the way you might think! This pair of thespians first met as students in the theatre acting program at Ryerson University in Toronto. Naturally, when it came to planning their vintage garden-themed wedding, Erin and Chris wanted to share their mutual passion for theatre with their 75 guests. “We named each table after a favourite play,” Erin explains. “That was probably my favourite detail.” Though Erin and Chris didn’t plan it, their ceremony also took a dramatic turn: “During the signing of the register, our friends burst into Shakespearean sonnets out of nowhere,” Erin shares. “Our officiant started crying before anyone else. It was amazing.”
