Love blossomed early for Phoebe and Stephen, who met as children in their church’s youth group and have been together for over 15 years. Fittingly enough, Stephen’s proposal came on a Sunday morning after church. The couple rented a boat to cruise the waters surrounding Vancouver and there, in the middle of the ocean, Stephen popped the question. Phoebe was so moved and excited she blurted out “Thank you” instead of “Yes”!
Phoebe and Stephen’s celebrations included two receptions: a large lunch gathering outside their church following the ceremony, and a more intimate vintage-themed garden party reception for dinner. The couple’s theme was evident through out the day, with delicate lace details and gorgeous fresh flowers evoking a vintage English garden atmosphere. Music was also an important part of the day, with a friend of the bride performing Train’s “Marry Me” and Chantal Kreviazuk’s “Feels Like Home” during the ceremony, both of which had special meaning to the couple.
