A Vintage Baseball Wedding in New Westminster
City firefighters Erin and Jordan met through work but it was their mutual love for baseball that brought them together. “Baseball is my favourite sport and when I heard he had played college baseball I was quite interested in hearing more,” Erin laughs. Their connection was a home run—after a surprise birthday proposal Erin and Jordan knew they wanted to incorporate their favourite pastime into their wedding ceremony. “Baseball was the theme that brought us together and we wanted it to be the theme that united us forever,” says Erin of their outfield nuptials. While the couple’s plans were almost rained out, the skies cleared up just in time, allowing the two to wed on the mound at Queen’s Park Stadium in New Westminster. Their love of the game was also evident in the vintage-inspired details, with a baseball roster serving as a seating chart, and baseball gloves and pennants adding to the authentic feel.
