A Stunning Wedding In The Mountains

Leanne and Ben are were too young to remember their first encounter, at the age of three. Their families attended the same church and the pair lived in the same neighbourhood and attended the same elementary school until Leanne’s family moved. Leanne and Ben were reintroduced as adults through mutual friends while working in Toronto. It was church that once again brought them together, which led to frequent lunch dates as they both worked downtown.

Leanne and Ben decided to tie the knot in lovely Canmore, Alberta. Coral and gold accents gave the reception a pop of colour but nothing could compare to the natural beauty of Canmore's surrounding moutains -- the backdrop for the couple's "I dos". One of Leanne and Ben's favourite wedding details was the delicious macaron tower, which was baked and assembled by Charmaine Ho and flown in from Toronto for the big day. Another unique detail was their Jenga "guestbook" -- guests were asked to write notes and words of wisdom on game pieces for the newlyweds. While the couple chose Michael Buble’s "Crazy Love" for their first dance, it was Ben’s own singing at the reception that was most memorable for Leanne. “Ben surprised me during the reception by performing one of my favourite songs, which was so special,” says Leanne.
