A Stunning Destination Wedding In Hawaii
Ka Wai and Heywood may have met in medical school, but their mutual love of the Vancouver Canucks is what brought these two love birds together. As hockey fans, they thought it only appropriate to incorporate their passion for the sport into their big day and host a festive Canucks themed destination wedding!
The couple chose the scenic island of Oahu for their celebration and used the island's lush flora to inspire their wedding colour palette of blue and purple. Ka Wai and Heywood paid homage to their hometown of Vancouver with a cute custom Canucks-themed cake topper featuring the couple in jerseys and Canucks table decor for their reception.
Getting married in paradise certainly does have its perks -- in particular the beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery. Ka Wai even spotted a whale in the lagoon behind the chapel right before she walked down the aisle!
