Canadian shoe designer, Ron White married his partner, entrepreneur Brad Wilson in an exuberant, star-studded celebration on September 26, 2012. The fête kicked off with a choreographed dance routine, which saw wedding party members Glenn Dixon, Doug Young, Billie Holiday, Jeffrey Latimer, Marla Switzer, and Libell Geddes, all tuxedo-clad, showing off their moves. Both Ron and Brad agree this was their most cherished wedding moment.
The couple was deeply grateful to have Justice Gloria Epstein officiate their ceremony. Her ground-breaking ruling gave equal rights to same-sex couples. Ron and Brad wrote letters and vows to one another, which Justice Epstein read aloud, followed by a special surprise performance by the Canadian Tenors. The Tenors performed their newly-recorded, "Can't Help Falling In Love," one of the couple's favourite wedding details. Afterwards, Sean Jones took the stage during the signing of the registry.
After the lively ceremony, famous Canadians including Jeanne Beker, Dini Petty, Monika Schnarre, Suzanne Rogers and gathered in the dining room for a fantastic feast, speeches and videos, and an amazing dance party to the drumming sounds of LA Live. John Tory and Barbara Hackett acted as MCs for the evening and brought the house down. It was certainly an unforgettable evening, fit for kings.
