A seaside wedding bursting with colour was the order of the day for Mary and Michael, an outdoorsy couple who derived inspiration from their phenomenal locale. Festooned in nautical decor, the seaside wedding featured fuss-free reception tables adorned with seashells and driftwood; starfish printed on napkins and escort cards and even a beach-themed wedding cake topped with miniature Adirondack chairs. Guests at the seaside wedding were also treated to bowls of M&M's, a tribute to Mary's adorable proposal using the same candy which bore their common first initial. Both contemporary and organic, the seaside wedding was swathed in shades of blue, purple and pink. Mary's rugged bouquet of creamy roses, electric blue hydrangea and purple lisianthus could have been plucked from a salty-aired garden nestled along the Pacific, while the bridesmaids' fuschia nosegays left their pastel contemporaries in the dust. Following the seaside wedding, Mary and Michael honeymooned in Haida Gwaii, a remote group of islands just south of Alaska, before finally returning to shore.
